Raycast AI Tool Demo for Mac Productivity
Demonstrates Raycast, a Mac productivity tool that replaces Spotlight with AI-powered search and web crawling capabilities.

Today I wanted to share with you a tool that I use dozens of times a day. It’s called Raycast. It works on my Mac and it replaces the Spotlight search function. So on my keyboard, I can press Command Space and this is Raycast. So what does this have to do with AI? Raycast has AI built into it. It’s designed to make it easy to get access to information on your Mac. So for example, if I said show me my schedule, so it’s going to oddly enough show me my schedule, but there’s nothing really much about AI to do there. However, when I open up Raycast and tap the tab key, this allows me to now jump into a very quick chat that I can ask that’s web enabled. So let’s say for example, I need to know the postcode for something. So I’ll say postcode for Kapalaba. Great, then it’s found the postcode for Kapalaba, as you might expect. However, it does have tools that make this far more effective. If I type the at sign, I can then use a series of AI extensions. So fire call is a really interesting one, because it enables you to crawl websites on the internet and get information back about them in some common sense way. Let’s try this one. Other and E Pickleball courts in Harvey Bay. You can see it’s found some very specific information here. What about this one? Where’s the cheapest place to buy Apple AirPod Pros in Brisbane? And so it’s told me here the cheapest place is online for 348, or I can walk into the Apple Store JP High Fire Office, where it’s all good guys and buy them for 399.
